Willow Waits
Silently, slowly, the gentle night descends.
Shimmering, glimmering stars not quite bright
Peek from behind soft clouds
As tiny specks of light.
Within the owl box Willow waits
To feel the movement of new life
Beneath her breast.
And soon she's given God's reward
For all her love and mother's warmth.
And, deep within, her heart now sings
For Earth is once again renewed
In the tiny owlet 'neath her wings.
