Per Lonestar:
Around 1:44am, Noelle ALMOST was out of the box. She came up into doorway, and stayed there several minutes. She HAD to be all the way up in door, perched with feet in doorway, for her to have as much of her body out as was out, as it was not "just head" as it has been before. I have to think if Willow had been nearby deeting (calling), she might have come right on out.
Jill, I was thinking about you saying last night that you have heard Willow "deeting" a lot in trees last two evenings/nights. It did not "click" when you mentioned it, but this is the parents beginning to call to the owlets, beginning to coax them out of the box. This is perfect timing-- when owlets are about ready to fledge, the parents, especially female, but sometimes both, will get nearby and deet (call) to owlets... this is to coax them to come out of next/box. And Noelle is "ready", so this all fits perfectly together now that I think about it.
Thank you Lonestar for this Fledge update-- we know Noelle is ready (but are we?) Stay tuned!
